SOAR Student Staff Positions
New Student Leaders
New Student Leaders (NSLs) are essential members of the SOAR Programming Team, which facilitates the public-facing content of SOAR. NSLs guide new Badgers & their families throughout SOAR and ensure the entire program runs smoothly.
Orientation Assistants (OAs) are essential members of the SOAR Operations Team, which is the behind-the-scenes backbone of the program. OAs provide administrative and logistical leadership and support general SOAR academic advising functions.
SOAR Peer Advisors work individually and collaboratively with professional advisors in each advising unit. Peer Advisors help incoming students learn more about their academic options and assist them with course enrollment.
SOAR Interns serve as paraprofessionals on SOAR staff and supervise the daily programming, operations, and technological aspects of SOAR. All interns collaborate as a team to create a positive SOAR experience for all new Badgers and families.
